08/31/2017. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This was the first half-scale replica of a Hawker Sea Fury to W.A.R. plans. It was built by Teter Rex Pykett at Andover, Hampshire, UK, and flew for the first time at nearby Thruxton on February 24, 1986. It is marked as WJ237 when serving aboard HMS Ocean, on which its builder Peter Pykett also served. Twenty years and several owners later the aircraft was lost in a fatal crash after take off from Crosland Moor Airfield, near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, on September 1, 1996."
