Jeroen Visschedijk: "On the evening of June 30, 2018, a fire broke out in a large garbage-heap at a garbage processing facility near Hengelo. Unable to put the fire out, the fire department requested assistance from the
RNethAF. The next day two Chinooks were assigned to help, using 2,642 gal (10,000 l) water buckets filled from an old dredging lake nearby. The Chinooks were flown to Deelen AFB for refueling every 1.5 hours. The fire was extinguished two days later, on July 2."
