Johan Visschedijk: "Manufactured in 1947, this aircraft was delivered to the Royal Navy as WM483. Later it was repurchased by Hawker and without naval equipment sold to the Iraqi AF, s/n 304, the land-based type was unofficially known as "Bagdad Fury". In 1979 it was exported to the USA where it was registered as N42SF. In 1992-1993 the aircraft was overhauled and the Bristol Centaurus 18 engine was replaced by a Wright R-3350. It was listed as Racer number "74" and named "Bad Attitude", thereafter it was listed as Racer number "117". Seventh place - Unlimited Class Gold - 408.200 mph (656.934 kmh)."
