Johan Visschedijk: "This aircraft flew first in 1943 as an Fw 190 A-7 fighter, c/n 640069, after being damaged it was rebuilt as an F-8/R1 ground-attack fighter-bomber. After WW II the aircraft was transported to the USA, to be stored until it was passed to the
NASM in 1949. After 30 years of storage it was restored from 1980 to 1983 and is presently on display."
